The government highlighted the operation in charge of the United States administration that allowed the release of the five asyleesmembers of the leader of the Venezuelan opposition, María Corina Machado, who were in the Argentine embassy in Caracas.
Through a statement published by the president’s office on social network X, the ruling party «expressed its recognition to The successful operation which allowed five Venezuelans refugees at the headquarters of the Argentine embassy in Venezuela were successfully extracted from Caracas and transferred to US soil ».
“President Javier Milei extends his thanks to all those involved and especially the Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, for his personal commitment in this operation, which has made it possible for these true heroes to finally recover their freedom,” he said
“In addition, the national government deeply values the efforts made to guarantee the safety and well -being of those who for a long time under Argentine protection of the Nicolás Maduro regime,” he said
The five asylees at the Argentine Embassy in Caracas were released thanks to a US operation
And he said: “This action represents an important step in defense of the release in the region”.
“We also continue working strongly in cooperation with our allies to achieve the release of the Argentine gendarme Nahuel Gallo, illegally kidnapped by the Venezuelan dictatorship,” he said
And he concluded: «His freedom is a priority for this government and We are not going to stop until we reach it«.
