The president of Syria confirms “indirect” conversations with Israel

MADRID 7 May. (EUROPA ) –

The president of Syria, Ahmed al Shara, has confirmed on Wednesday that his maintains “indirect negotiations” with Israel to try to reduce the tension in the neighboring country, after the Israeli forces have launched several bombings to to the rebound of sectarian violence.

“There are idnirect negotiations with Israel through mediators to calm the situation and prevent control from control,” he explained to Shara a joint press conference in Paris with the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, in which it is his trip to Europe since he assumed power in Syria.

The Syrian president, who has again accused Israel of violating historical behaviors, explained that from Damascus they are trying to talk to all countries capable of influencing the Government of Benjamin Netanyahu to refrain from certain practices.

For its part, Macron has also condemned what he considers “bad practice” and has pointed out that neither the attacks nor the “incursions” Israeli contribute in any way to stabilize the situation. “It does not guarantee the security of your country (Israel) and violate territorial integrity,” he criticized during an appearance in the Elysium.
