Castillo, Prov. Duarte, RD – The citizen José Ramón García Meregildo received an economic contribution for an amount of RD $ 320,687.44 (the total cost) required for the purchase of essential medical materials that will allow him to undergo urgent surgery, after being diagnosed with a tumor located at the base of the skull, a condition that has caused a loss of 90 % of his vision.
The recommended medical procedure is a tumor resection through transesphenoidal surgery via endoscopic, urgent and highly specialized.
The economic support was managed by the official Raidy Mejía Vega, who headed the formal delivery of the commitment letter. To this delivery, young Rafael, Rafi de la Cruz and Marcial García were joined, in sample of support and accompaniment.
During the delivery, Mejía said he felt deeply satisfied with being able to contribute to this human cause, reaffirming his commitment to continue managing real solutions for those who need it most.
> “Helping José Ramón at this time so difficult is a responsibility that I assume with the heart. I feel grateful to be part of this life expectancy,” Mejía said.
For his part, José Ramón García thanked the support received:
> “I feel very grateful for this management. Thanks to President Luis Abinader, I will be able to operate. I also thank Deputy Minister Juan Garrigó Mejía, of the Administrative Ministry of the Presidency, for doing this possible.”
