Circulating in RER C, may be complicated for many travelers in May. Two major work weekends are planned on the line From May 8 to 11 and May 29 to June 1, 2025 until 5 p.m. Traffic will thus be interrupted between Brétigny-sur-Orge and Saint-Martin d’Étampes, and between Brétigny and Dourdan.
Replacement buses are planned
During this period, preventive maintenance work will be carried out in Brétigny-sur-Orge. The Stemps and Dourdan referral stations will be modernized. In addition, the railways in Arpajon and Étampes will be renewed.
In detail, the stations of Marolles-en-Hurepoix, Bouray, Lardy, Chamarande, Etréchy, Étampes, Saint-Martin-d’Etampes, La Norville Saint-Germain-lès-Arpajon, Arpajon, Égly, Breuillet Bruyères-le-Châtel, Breuillet Village, Saint-Chéron, Sermaise and Dourdan will not be served.
In order to facilitate user movements, a replacement bus service is provided. To go from Brétigny to Saint-Martin-d’Etampes, travelers will be able to take the C4 bis line. Between Brétigny and Dourdan, you will have to take the C5 bis bus. These two replacement buses will circulate with an average frequency between 15 to 30 minutes.
Note that from May 29 to June 1, 2025 until 5 p.m., the Savigny-sur-Orge station will not be served by the trains towards Brétigny.
