Legislators argued that candidates are related to federal criminal causes in force for serious crimes such as sexual abuse, threats, injuries, peculation and organized crime, which makes them inecegable for the charges to which they aspire to articles 95 and 97 of the Constitution.

Signal: she served as defender of a defendant linked to the Sinaloa cartel (organized crime, kidnapping, crimes against health and weapons for the exclusive use of the army)

6. María de Jesús López Guzmán
Postulate position: District Judge of the Twentieth Circuit, Chiapas
Signal: Defender of a defendant for organized crime in the kidnapping modality
Previous Failure: PGR/SIEDO/EUIDMS/318/2014 – CRIMINAL CAUSE 057/2014
The signatories pointed out that the participation of these people in the extraordinary electoral process of Judiciary 2024–2025 puts at risk the legitimacy and integrity of judicial resolutions, since there are possible conflicts of interest, criminal records and links with illegal activities. In addition, they argued that their permanence in the contest could cause a serious affectation to citizen confidence in justice.
The request emphasizes that good reputation is not a mere formal requirement, but an essential pillar to ensure that those who give justice do so with ethics, impartiality and respect for the rule of law.
