“The afternoon is ours”the new Channel 13 current program, signed a former partner of “With you in the morning” (Chilevisión]) for its open TV premiere: the journalist Ignacio Oliva.
It is a new franjeado of the private station that will try to “seek to tell the human stories behind the news events that mark each day.” The space will be driven by Alfonso Concha, and will have reporters deployed in the field in each broadcast.
A native of Penco, Ignacio is 33 years old and arrived in Santiago to do his practice in journalism in Chilevisión, from where he emigrated to the morning “Hello Chile” of the network. “I was almost five years on the network, I think it is the place where I became the most journalist, because being a more humble place I learned to do everything,” he recalled, through a channel statement.
The place where he won fame was in the morning “With you live” in Chilevisión, where he worked for just over two years. There he continued performing mobiles, in what became his specialty to this day.
Ignacio Oliva to Channel 13: “Working life has taken me to mobiles, to look for the news on the street”
“work life has taken me to mobile phones, to look for the news on the street. I like the news of the last minute, wait in court that is happening, such as being attentive to the exit of the accused,” he said.
On his arrival at “the afternoon is ours,” added: “Our goal is that the cases are not thrown after TV. We want to follow them, see if they were not solved, ask why.”
“The idea is not to be a continuation of the afternoon news. Give it back to things, present them in a different way, with another descent, with more time to explain things. Not being so hard or aggressive with information as other programs, and trying to deliver a little more joy,” he says.
In land work, Ignacio Oliva will share credits with Antonia Kohler and Rocío Villalobos. “The afternoon is ours” will have its premiere this May 12 at 2:30 p.m. by the signals of Channel 13, T13 live and 13go.
