The best May series, according to Alberto Rey

Those of us who closely follow the television awards career know that the overdose of “good” series released in April 2025 had a meaning: the Emmys eligibility period. But May is not exactly a television month. In fact the month begins with The four stationsone of those series that Netflix seems to do more for prestige than by subscriptions. Two weeks later, the platform will launch a new season of Love, Death & Robots. These refreshing oddities live with “lifelong” series and traditional genres such as the extravagant police (Mademoiselle Holmes) and fictions with fashion themes, such as the suburban bourgeois thriller (The idyllic neighborhood) or self -conscious comedy (Bad thoughts). Without forgetting The Walking Dead, of course. It began as a series and now has its own shelf in that huge virtual library that is the world of streaming. Not a character (living) of The Walking Dead without his own series. The Emmys, by the way, ninggune all.
