Nicolás Maduro on Wednesday made an adjustment to the complementary bonus of the minimum wage of Venezuelans, which included the pensioners of the Venezuelan Institute for Social Security and Major Love.
From the Bolívar state, Maduro announced the Increased economic war bonus to 50 dollarsjust 5 more dollars than the previous amount. This is equivalent to about 4,378 bolivars at the exchange rate established by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).
He pointed out that more than five million pensioners receive this integral payment, which are deposited through the homeland system.
The president announced the creation of a Family Protection Bonuswhich did not offer further details.
A “beautiful adjustment”
Maduro justified the adjustment as part of the “progressive recovery plan” and said he seeks to “protect purchasing power.” He described him as a “precious adjustment” to the sanctions imposed by the Government of Donald Trump.
«It is a beautiful adjustment because these latest sanctions against the oil company, against oil investments, had the objective of taking away all the reais, all income. I can tell the imperialists and the criminal of the fascist right, they failed, ”he said.
He pointed out that the indexation at the rate of the Central Bank of Venezuela will be maintained.
Although this increase represents a partial relief, Workers continue to demand minimum wage in line with the cost of the basic basketestimated at more than 500 dollars per month.
How can pensioners withdraw the economic war bonus?
1- Log in the homeland platform: Access the official website with your ID and Password number.
2- Access the “Monedero” section: Select the “Fund Removal” option.
3- Choose the wallet of origin, amount and destination: define where the funds are withdrawn, the amount and where they are transferred.
4- Confirm the operation: click “Continue” and then “accept” to finish the withdrawal.
