Nayib Bukele proposes Maduro in favor of political prisoners

President Nayib Bukele proposed to Nicolás Maduro an agreement to repatriate Venezuelan migrants from the United States and detained in a maximum security prison in El Salvador, accused of belonging to the Aragua Train, in exchange for the release of prisoners in Venezuela.

«I want to propose a humanitarian agreement that contemplates the repatriation of 100% of the 252 Venezuelans who were , in exchange for the release and delivery of an identical number (252) of the thousands of political prisoners that you maintain, ”Bukele said this Sunday in X.

Bukele said that, unlike Maduro, He has no political prisoners in El Salvador. In addition, he assured that Venezuelans held in El Salvador were in the context of operations against gangs in the United States.

He added that the exchange would include the almost 50 foreign citizens arrested in Venezuela: American, , Dominican, Argentina, Bolivian, Israeli, , Colombian, Ecuadorian, , French, Guyanese, Dutch, Iranian, , Lebanese, , , Puerto Rican, Ukrainian, Uruguayan, Portuguese and Czech.
