A group of 174 deportened Venezuelan migrants from the United States arrived in Venezuela on a plane of the conviasa state airline, reported the state television station VTV.
The flight of the Venezuelan airline made the transfer of 29 women and 145 men who were repatriated from Palmerola airport, in the city of Comayagua, in Honduras, where they had arrived deported by US authorities, VTV added. The Reuters agency also showed images of the arrival of the plane to Simón Bolívar International Airport of Maiquetía, in the Venezuelan state of La Guaira.
This group of migrants joins the more than 2,000 who have been repatriated to Venezuela since January 20 Donald Trump began his second term as president of the United States.
The figure includes both Venezuelan migrants who have been deported to Honduras and those who have been transferred directly to Venezuela by US planes, in addition to those who have voluntarily return from Mexico.
