Regarding the 44th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Equatorial Guinea, the Basic human Rights Course was installed on Tuesday.
The activity aimed to address “all issues related to human rights that contribute to cultural enrichment and the development of our peoples,” said the general director of the Vice Minister’s Office for Africa, Marlon Peña Labrador.
For his part, the Ombudsman of Venezuela, Alfredo Ruiz, said that “during this first course we will give fundamental issues”, highlighting that the elaboration of this activity is possible thanks to the joint work that has been done with the brother African country.
The meeting also had the participation of the Ombudsman of Equatorial Guinea, Reginaldo Ejido Panades, who explained that the course is framed in the Human Rights Law of his country, in order to give guarantee and protection of them, review press release of the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs.
The Basic Human Rights course begins in simultaneous sessions in Malabo and Caracas, with a duration of five (5) weeks, being aimed at public officials of Equatorial Guinea, in order to promote awareness and encourage experiences and good practices in the field, through forums, conversations, courses, workshops and thematic meetings, adds the note.
The realization of the training project complies with the legal instruments signed within the framework of the II Mixed Commission Venezuela – Equatorial Guinea, held from December 1 to 3, 2024, in Malabo.
