state security officials illegally broke into the house in Caracas de Magalli Meda, just one day after she left Venezuela after more than a year asylee at the Argentine Embassy.
The complaint was made by Meda herself through her account in X (formerly Twitter), where she said that the search occurred while the Minister of the Interior and Justice, Diosdado Cabello, spoke publicly about alleged negotiations that facilitated the exit of the group of asylees.
“We denounce that at the moment, while Cabello lies about alleged negotiations for our departure, his violent repressive arm in Caracas,” Meda wrote.
According to the opponent, the income was registered by security cameras installed in the house. He shared images that are observed to five men dressed in black, some hooded, stirring belongings inside his room.
The disseminated photographs show individuals by entering and manipulating objects within the residence.
Who left the country and what did the mature government say?
The five opponents who left Venezuela are: Pedro Urruchurtu, Magalli Meda, Claudia Macero, Humberto Villalobos and Omar González, who remained more than 13 months under diplomatic asylum. Corina Parisca de Machado joined them.
Diosdado Cabello, during his weekly program transmitted by the state channel VTV, denied that it was a rescue as the United States indicated and argued that the exit was part of a political agreement.
«Those who more or less say they were based on a negotiation. He who says no, is because they left him outside, ”he said.
Cabello even presented what he described as an “approach order” of Corina Parisca and said that his departure occurred on May 5 to Bogotá, Colombia.
