Buenos Aires, May 5 (EFE) .- The trial for the of former player Diego Armando Maradona will continue on Tuesday with the statement of Pablo Dimitroff, director of the Olivos Clinic, where the star was admitted shortly before his death; A hearing that is expected to put the focus on the decision to continue with the care of the Argentine idol at a private home.

The trial, in which seven health workers are charged with simple homicide with eventual intent for the death of the legend of , will hold a new hearing this Tuesday in the Oral Criminal Court (TOC) No. 3 of San Isidro, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.

Maradona was submitted on November 3, 2020 to a surgical intervention in the Olivos Clinic by a subdural bruise on the , and there it remained admitted until the 11th of the same month, the date on which it was transferred to a private residence in the Tigre neighborhood, on the outskirts of the Argentine capital, in which it died on November 25 of that year.

The director of the institution is expected to explain about who made the decision to continue with Maradona’s medical care at a private home, one of the central issues of the trial so far.

The proposal of the clinic consisted of “continuing the psychiatric, clinical, rehabilitation and toxicological treatment under the modality of hospitalization (income) in a rehabilitation center”, an indication that, according to the document, was not accepted by the astro -treating medical team (charged in this cause) or its .
