This is the second consecutive time that retail prices at the national level remain unchanged. Currently, the price of the most common gas varies between 466 and 489 thousand Vnd/12 kg cylinder, depending on the brand. Since the beginning of 2025, retail gas prices at the national level decreased twice (January and March), increased once (February) and remained unchanged twice (April and May).
Meanwhile, the Internal Market Management and Development Department (Ministry of Industry and Commerce) has announced an adjustment to the gas prices management schedule when the adjustment cycle according to the 7 -day/hour regulations fall on the holidays of April 30 and May 1.

Specifically, according to current regulations, the internal prices of gasoline and oil are regulated every 7 days, every Thursday. Previously, at the end of April, gasoline prices were adjusted on April 24, the next calendar for gasoline pricing is May 1. However, on Thursday, May 1 is the International Workers Day. Therefore, the next setting of the price of gasoline will take place on Monday, May 5 (the first working day after the holiday).
