The new series of Treasure Entertainmentproducer of The Walking Deadit is roll in the historic center with the support of the Spanish piano film
The Church of San Antonio de Padua, a heritage symbol of the Historic District of Granadilla de Abona, has been today the stage of a fictional story thanks to the filming of The Sacred Vows, an international series focused on a marriage link that will record for almost a month in the municipality, in the convent, the town hall and in the coats. The production is in charge of Treasure Entertainment, the same company that once gave life to the global phenomenon The Walking Dead, in collaboration with the Spanish producer Piano Film, responsible for the service in national territory.
This ambitious project, with a 57 -day shooting calendar, represents an audiovisual investment of great draft for the municipality, since the estimated daily cost is 30,000 euros and the production will inject around five million euros to the economy of the island with preproduction, postproduction, marketing and all associated logistics.
The mayor, José Domingo Regalado emphasizes that “it is an important filming, which not only projects the image of the municipality beyond our borders, but also boosters the local economic fabric and activates consumption in Granadilla businesses.”
“We are facing a very special moment for Granadilla de Abona, ”said the Councilor for Culture, Carlos Abismael Díaz Barreto, who stressed that“ a production of this international level chooses our heritage, it is the case of the church of San Antonio de Padua as the main location and other enclaves, it speaks of the scenic and patrimonial value of our historic center ”.
Filming has revolutionized today the surroundings of the Church, which has been decorated for this cinematographic work and recreate key scenes of the plot. The technical team, actors, figures and neighbors intermingle in an environment that combines tradition and fiction, and Granadilla de Abona reinforces its position as a reference enclave on the international audiovisual map.
