Not everything is the first team. In Colo Colo They take the competition in the minor series very seriously and, on this occasion, for the duel against Universidad Católica for the Fundación Collahuasi National Projection Championship, two players from the first team were called up.

It caught the attention of those in attendance that among the players who moved to the Raimundo Tupper Complex in San Carlos de Apoquindo, there were two names that have been part of Jorge Almirón’s schemes.

Immediately there began to be talk that they were probably cut off. Daniel Gutiérrez and Lucas Soto started against Universidad Católica. Are your chances with the first team over?

Both players practice day by day with the team led by Jorge Almirón. Of course, they were not the only ones present who have ever reached the first team. Dylan Portilla, Leandro Hernández and Diego Plaza were also present.

End of his contribution to the first team?

The play went well for Colo Colo. The youth team of the albos defeated the Universidad Católica with a goal in the last minute, the work of Bastián Silva. The young man from Cacique was the author of the two Alba conquests in the 2-1 victory.

While the players from Almirón’s squad had an important role in the victory. Daniel Gutiérrez contributed as a left back for the Alba squad, while Lucas Soto played in midfield.

But, don’t worry, this does not mean that Jorge Almirón discarded them from the first team. In fact, according to him, the idea was to make them play so that they would have more action and to reinforce the Projection team in such an important match.

Colo-Colo will receive Unión La Calera at the Monumental Stadium, this Sunday, April 28 at 6:00 p.m. Chile time. If they win, the white team could approach the top positions.
