The club reported via X the departure of the Argentine’s coaching staff and apparently did not like it at all. What happened? Vasco da Gama fell 4-0 to Criciúma for the Brasileirao this Saturday afternoon and the institution made the unilateral decision to terminate the contract. Furthermore, he decided to make it public through the networks.
“Vasco da Gama informs that immediately after the match Ramón Díaz and Emiliano Díaz are no longer part of the coaching staff. Rafael Paiva, coach of the under-20 team, takes over on an interim basis,” the institution expressed in the brief message. The reason? Linked to the results, of course: this defeat against Criciúma was the third consecutive in four Brasileirao dates for the team. The others? 1-2 against Fluminense and Bragantino.
The cycle of Ramón Díaz under the command of Vasco da Gama
El Pelado took the reins of Vasco in July of last year and with a clear objective: to try to save the team from relegation. And after a hard-fought campaign, he achieved the goal and the club managed to stay in the Brasileirao after beating Bragantino 2-1 on the last date of the championship.
