One of the desired situations is to generate greater competitiveness. For some clubs, the ideal would be to return to the format of a few years ago with 18 teams in the first division. The idea would be proposed at the next Dimayor assembly.

According to information from journalist Luis Arturo Henao, several teams will bring the proposal to the next assembly. The idea is to seek approval from the 36 clubs to make the change effective from the beginning of the first semester.
In addition to this, another of the proposals included in the change is related to the category of the teams in terms of economic rights for television broadcasts. The idea is that if a club spends more than three years in B, it loses the category of A team.
The definition of the proposal would be resolved during the course of the following assemblies. Everything points to which clubs like Deportivo Cali, Once Caldas, Pereira and Pasto They would reject the measure due to their current position in the fight for permanence.
