LOS ANGELES — Shohei Ohtani had his second game-winning hit in the majors, a two-out single in the 10th that sent the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday.

Cuban Andy Pages earlier hit a two-run homer for the Dodgers, who have won 20 of 26 after taking three of four against Cincinnati.

Pinch-hitter Will Smith walked with one out in the 10th by Alexis Díaz (1-3), who drove in Mookie Betts with a fly ball before Ohtani singled to right, driving in Jason Heyward. The Japanese’s latest feat caused a loud celebration for another weekend with a packed Dodger Stadium.

His only other game-winning single in the Major Leagues came in the 11th inning with the Los Angeles Angels, in a 6-5 win over Houston on September 4, 2020.

Stuart Fairchild had two hits for the Reds, who have lost 15 of 18. Cincinnati has also lost seven straight series.

Anthony Banda (1-0) got three consecutive outs in the 10th in his debut with the Dodgers, who acquired the reliever from Cleveland on Friday. It was his first victory since May 28, 2022, with Pittsburgh. He has worked with the Blue Jays, Yankees, Nationals and Dodgers, and participated in Cleveland’s minor league system.

For the Reds, Dominican Santiago Espinal went 1 for 4 with an RBI.

For the Dodgers, Cuban Andy Pages went 1 for 4 with one run scored and two RBIs. Dominican Teoscar Hernández 3-1.
