The first-born son of King Charles III, who holds the position of president of the Football Federation (FA)traveled to the stadium St. George’s Parkin the English town of Burton upon Trent, to talk with the national team and their coach, Gareth Southgate.
Guillermo gave the shirts to each of the 26 players selected for the match they will play with Serbia this Sunday.
The prince greeted Southgate and noted that “in a few hours” the national team “will be preparing” for its trip to Germany, where the tournament will begin this Friday.
During his talk with the international players, the prince told them, amused, that when taking his children to school today, he asked them: “What do I say to the England team? The best advice they have given me for you was that eat twice what you normally eat.
“So then I’ve had visions of you all running around the countryside with huge bellies and flatus pains, so I might as well take my little son’s advice with a grain of salt,” he concluded.
