BOSTON — Zack Kelly escaped a bases-loaded threat with no outs in the seventh inning, Connor Wong hit a two-run triple in the bottom half, lifting the Boston Red Sox to a 9-3 victory over the team with the best record in the Major Leagues, the New York Yankees on Sunday night.

The Red Sox had 9 stolen bases, with David Hamilton reaching four, to take two of three games against the Yankees. It was the most stolen bases in a game this season in the Big Top, and the most the Yankees allowed since May 19, 1915.

Aaron Judge hit his 26th homer, tied for the lead of the current season, and José Trevino added a solo one for the Yankees.

Boston starter Kutter Crawford (3-6) matched his career high with nine strikeouts, allowed three runs, three hits and walked one in six innings.

After falling in the first game of the series, the Red Sox gave them plenty of reasons to cheer for their first sellout of the season at Fenway Park.

Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo left the game in the seventh inning after colliding with Red Sox pitcher Brennan Bernardino on a play at first base in which he fell hard on the wrist of his right hand.

For the Red Sox, the Dominicans Rafael Devers went 1 for 4 with two RBIs and one run scored, Emmanuel Valdez went 1 for 3 with one run scored.

For the Yankees, Mexican Alex Verdugo went 1 for 4.
