He Argentine motorcycling is in mourning after confirming the death of Lorenzo Somaschini, the 9-year-old pilot who had been injured in Brazil last Friday while participating in a practice session ahead of the fourth stage of the Honda Junior 160 Cup at the Interlagos Autodrome in the city of San Pablo.

The accident of the Rosario pilot occurred on Friday, on the first day of activity for the competition. According to the organization of the contest, Somaschini suffered the fall while driving around the Pinheirinho curve of the legendary São Paulo route and was quickly transferred to the local hospital where he remained in the intensive care unit.
