There are just hours left until the start of the Copa America 2024 and the argentine national team finalizes preparations to begin the defense of the title won three years ago.
The Scaloneta She arrives as one of the favorites to lift the trophy in a competition that, like in the 2016 edition, will have 16 participants and will feature 31 matches between those corresponding to the group stage and the direct elimination duels.
Beyond the glory, the teams will also win important financial prizes. On this occasion, the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol) will distribute a record number of 72 million dollars as an extra incentive.
As participation, all those selected will receive 2 million each. The remaining 40 million (values always referred to US currency) will be distributed to achieve sporting objectives: those who advance to the quarterfinals will pocket another 2 million, while whoever finishes in fourth place will add 4 million to their coffers.
