Joaquín Rodríguez, made the leap and will play in the ACB League of Spain. The 25-year-old Uruguayan guard was announced as a new player for Casademont Zaragoza, a club with which he signed a contract for the next four seasons.

“I am very happy to join this team, for me it is a great honor to be part of the Zaragoza Guardians,” the player expressed on the club’s official social networks after being announced.

The former Aguada and Larre Borges in Uruguay, Estudiantes de Concordia and Obras Sanitaras in Argentina had arrived in Europe in 2023 to play for Real Betis, where he was one of the great sensations of the LEB Oro this season, showing an exponential progression as that advanced the competition, being the great reference for the Betic team to reach the playoffs for the league title.

A native of Mercedes, Joaquín Rodríguez is a fixture in the Celeste National Team and will become the first player of Uruguayan nationality to wear the colors of Casademont Zaragoza.
