Manu Fajardo, sports director of Real Betisconfirmed this Wednesday during the presentation of Diego Llorente as the new centre-back of the Betis team that “Borja Iglesias will of course go to the pre-season training camp in Austria as he is a club player with a valid contract”.

Asked about negotiations with Celta for the transfer of the Galician striker, Manu Fajardo has indicated that at the moment there is no agreement with any club, but that there are talks with “Celta, as well as with other teams” that have shown interest in the Panda, such as Stuttgart and Olympique de Lyon, among others.

The Betis sporting director has confirmed that the agreement to renew Aitor Ruibal’s contract is practically finalised and is imminent, while he has said that Álex Collado will not attend the training camp in Austria “due to a personal matter which Manuel Pellegrini has already been informed about”.

Fajardo confirmed that Ayoze did not play yesterday for Spain against France as he suffered a relapse of the injury he sustained in the match against Italy, and when asked whether negotiations were underway to revise his contract and increase his release clause, he said that “we have not met with his agents to discuss the matter.”

Fajardo finally said that “Johnny is expected to join the second stage in the USA and Pellegrini must speak with Pezzella and Ayoze to see when they return from vacation”, while “Isco and Bakambu are not going to the first stage in Austria and we will see if any of them can go to the second in the USA, it will depend on what the doctors say”.
