Samsung pauses Galaxy S22 series update to One UI 6.1 due to some bugs

Yesterday the rollout of the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy S22 finally began, but today, we have confirmation that tells us that it has been paused due to the presence of some bugs and errors.

Galaxy S22 update to One UI 6.1 suspended

The rollout has apparently been halted because some Galaxy S22 units may not boot or even have lock screen issues after installing the update. However, users on Samsung’s community forums in Korea, the only market where One UI 6.1 has been released for now, don’t seem to have had any problems.

In the case of the Galaxy S22 series, the update rollout began first in South Korea but has now been stopped. Now, it is hoped that Samsung can fix the error. Then, the update will restart and will surely reach more regions.

In the case of the update of the other models such as the Galazy Z Flip4 and Z Fold 4, there does not seem to be any error and they can use One UI 6.1 without problems. There is evidence of error cases in the Galaxy S21 series as well, but this update has not been paused.

We’ll just have to wait, but if you have a Galaxy S22, it’s best to wait for everything to be resolved before trying to install any update to One UI 6.1, at least for now.
