Within the framework of the presentation of Upfront of TelevisaUnivision at HK Hall in New York, Pierluigi Gazzolo, CEO of ViX, announced that the streaming reached 50 million monthly active users (MAU) worldwide. In addition, he indicated that in the US the service grew by 70% year after year.

Gazzolo revealed that the new level premium with advertising (Premium with Ads) by ViX will be available starting this Wednesday the 15th, and presented a suite room expanded advertising formats, including contextual and interactive capabilities, as well as commerce and social. “This tier opens the doors to advertisers so that their brands can live alongside wonderful content behind the paywall” he noted.

In addition, Gazzolo was accompanied on stage by the producer and influencer Mexican who has 90 million followers, Juanpa Zurita, with whom ViX concluded a first option agreement with ARCO Entertainment, from Zurita. The agreement with ARCO is for two years and gives ViX access to all series and film projects in Spanish.

Gazzolo announced two new original series for ViX: Chiquis without filterproduced by JK Media Group and Busy Bee Productions, and Arcadia with William Levy.

Levy’s project is part of an alliance created between ViX and Secuoya Studios that includes two new productions: the series of thriller Arcadia (working title) and under a volcano (working title). Levy will also serve as executive producer.
