POCO has announced the global launch of its new POCO F6 family, consisting of a standard model and a more advanced model, the POCO F6 Pro, which comes equipped with a Snapdragon Gen2 processor, is fully charged in less than 20 minutes and can now be buy from 499.99 euros.

With this new family of smartphones, the Chinese company has sought to incorporate “performance and experience improvements for gamers, technology enthusiasts and technology lovers,” as explained during the presentation event held this Thursday in Dubai.

In it, POCO has released the specifications of the two members of its new series, POCO F6 and POCO F6 Pro, which share the same screen size, 6.67 inches, although with different resolutions.

POCO F6 Pro comes with a metallic finish and is equipped with a Flow AMOLED WQHD+ panel, with ‘wet touch’ technology for use with wet hands or in humid environments. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution (3,200 x 1,440 pixels), as well as a maximum peak brightness of 4,000 nits and a PWM dimming rate of 3,820Hz.

Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, with Adreno GPU and WildBoost Optimization technology, POCO F6 Pro also comes with LiquidCool Technology 4.0 cooling technology with IceLoop to prevent overheating during busy times. For example, during gaming sessions.

The main camera is 50 MP and has optical stabilizer (OIS), as well as an f/1.6 aperture. This main lens is accompanied by an 8 MP (f/2.2) wide-angle camera and a 2 MP (f1.24) macro camera. The selfie is 16 MP.

One of the most notable sections of this device, which has a weight of 209 grams and a thickness that reaches 8.21 mm, is its battery. With a capacity of 5,000mAh, it supports 120W HyperCharge fast charging, thanks to which it can go from 0 to 100 percent battery in just 19 minutes. It also has a hibernation mode that activates automatically when the battery is at 1 percent and gives you autonomy to make up to 30 hours of phone calls.

At the ‘software’ level, POCO has commented that this mobile introduces a series of features driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI), such as AI Expansion – to make photographs larger as this technology interprets the environment -, AI Magic Erase – to delete elements or people – and AI Subtitles, to introduce subtitles in real time in video or in meetings, as well as a real-time translator. All of these features are now available through a beta version.

LITTLE F6

POCO F6, for its part, is a terminal that comes with an AMOLED DotDisplay screen and has become the first device in the POCO F series to feature a CrystalRes panel. Its screen, with Gorilla Glass Victus, offers 1.5K high definition quality, a 120 Hz refresh rate and a maximum peak brightness of 2400 nits.

This second device, which weighs 179 grams and is 8mm thick, is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip and features Adreno GPU and WildBoost Optimization performance-enhancing technology. Likewise, it has a 5000mAh battery and supports 90W charging. In this way, you get a full charge in about 30 minutes.

In the camera section, the terminal comes with a 50 MP triple camera configuration with an IMX882 ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/1.59 aperture, which allows the entry of a greater amount of light. It is complemented by an 8 MP wide angle and a 20 MP selfie with f/2.2 aperture.

Like the more advanced model, POCO F6 also incorporates LiquidCool 4.0 technology with the IceLoop system, which improves the vapor-liquid circulation flow to eliminate heat and improve thermal dissipation.

Likewise, it introduces a series of functionalities powered by AI, aimed at recognizing hand gestures. For example, the device is capable of switching from one song to another when it detects that the user moves their hand to one side or the other.

You can also adjust the volume of the player when you move your hand up or down, pause and play a song or video when you do the double tap gesture, and even attend to a call automatically when the user draws a circle with it.

The Chinese manufacturer has finally commented that both smartphones are based on the HyperOS operating system and that they have support for Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 7, and 5G connectivity, among others.

The company has finally explained that both terminals come with the charger included in the box and that POCO F6 Pro is presented in three configurations (12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM, 12GB of RAM and 512GB of ROM or 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage) and in two colors (black and white). POCO F6, on the other hand, only offers two versions (8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM; and 12GB of RAM and 512GB of ROM) in black, green and titanium.

POCO F6 Pro is available for purchase with an ‘early bird’ offer from this Thursday until May 30. Its price varies depending on its storage, starting from 12GB of RAM and 256B of ROM, on sale for 499.99 euros. From this date it will have a price of 579.99 euros.
