Monthly PlayStation reveals which have been the most purchased games on its platform and throughout the year 2024, some video games have coincided in the top five.

GTA V, the game follows the story of three protagonists: Michael De Santa, a retired bank robber; Franklin Clinton, a young man who works as a car salvager; and Trevor Philips, an ex-military man with psychopathic tendencies; ranked first in the last month.

1. Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter developed by Arrowhead Game Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 5 and PC.

Rockstar Games and Take Two have announced that the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) video game will be released in fall 2025 for PlayStation and Xbox consoles. That is, between September, October and November of that year.

Take Two, the video game distributor that owns Rockstar Games, has announced plans for the launch of GTA VI in its recent earnings report for investors.highlighting that expectations about its commercial impact “continue to increase.”

“As we enter fiscal 2025 with positive momentum, we expect to generate net reserves of between $5.55 and $5.65 billion. “Our outlook reflects a reduction of Rockstar Games’ previously established Schedule 2025 to Fall Schedule 2025 window for Grand Theft Auto VI,” the company shared.

Just 48 hours after Rockstar Games released the trailer for GTA 6, the company has broken historical records. At the audience level, the first day was a succession of clicks that generated constant views.

The trailer became the most viewed non-music video in YouTube history in its first 24 hours, with over 90 million views, surpassing MrBeast’s previous record of 59.4 million. Currently, the trailer already exceeds 190 million views.

As revealed in December with the launch of the trailer, the new installment will take place in the city of Vice City, located in the state of Leonida, an interpretation of Miami (Florida, United States).
