MADRID, June 3 (Portaltic/EP) –

POCO has recognized that it has had to sacrifice some aspects such as the charging power of the new LITTLE F6 Pro or the processor it incorporates, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, with the aim of remaining a reference brand in the mid-range.

The Chinese brand presented the POCO F6 series a few days ago, made up of the standard and advanced models, which share characteristics such as the size of its screen, 6.67 inches. However, they are separated by differences in their chips or charging power.

Part of these differences are the result of a sacrifice on the part of the company to be able to maintain the average price of its devices, as recognized in a meeting with the media after the presentation by the head of POCO Global Product Marketing at Xiaomi Technology, Angus Kai Ho Ng.

One of the sections that the company has highlighted the most about the POCO F6 Pro is its battery, which has a capacity of 5,000mAh and supports 120W HyperCharge fast charging. Thanks to it, you can recharge from zero to one hundred percent in 19 minutes.

This type of charging is identical to that incorporated by Redmi Note 13 Pro+, its mid-range equivalent also manufactured by Xiaomi. In this sense, POCO wanted to emphasize that, although he thought about introducing a 200W charge, he warned that the change “was minimal” and that the phone It could be charged in about three or four minutes less.

“To do that, we must take into account that the cost increases and the technology and structure of the smartphone have to change,” explained Angus Kai Ho Ng, who acknowledged that POCO thought that ““It wasn’t worth doing.” if they sought to maintain their prices.

LIGHTER AND SIMPLE

Unlike the advanced model of the previous family, POCO F5 Pro, which came with 30W wireless charging, its successor does not incorporate it, since the manufacturer considered it more interesting to “remove a little weight” from the device, by eliminating the component intended to wireless charging.

“Because we did that, we were able to dedicate more effort to the design of the device, to make it a little more classic, to acquire a more premium appearance, also in size,” he noted.

With this, he admitted that they wanted to give it an appearance similar to that of the lunar surface, without creating something too artificial. “We offer a simple and clean designwhich is precisely what POCO users are looking for,” he assured.

Beyond the ‘hardware’, the manager has talked about the functions powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) of the new POCO F6 Pro, such as AI Expansion, AI Subtitles and AI Magic Erase, which are now available through a beta version.

“It is still too early to introduce them on a global level. Some of them have a lot to improve,” he commented, ensuring that, although the brand has focused on promoting this technology “to follow the trend”, it has also done so “thinking about the benefits it has.”

Finally, Angus Kai Ho Ng has clarified that, in the short term, the company does not expect to launch these functions with a public update, but it is possible that, after optimizing its models and algorithms, it will do so in the second half of the year “so that everyone users can experiment with it.
