The CEO of the Tesla company, Elon Musk, has threatened to ban all of his companies from using Apple-branded devices if they incorporate technology from the OpenAI artificial intelligence system, creator of ChatGPT.
“If Apple integrates OpenAI at the operating system level, Apple devices will be banned from my companies. This is an unacceptable security breach,” Musk said in a message on his X account.
Even “visitors (in their companies) will have to leave their Apple devices at the door, where they will be stored in a Faraday cage (protected against electromagnetic fields),” added the businessman.
Musk’s statements come after the technology giant Apple announced this Monday that it will join forces with OpenAI so that its assistant Siri can access ChatGPT to respond to its users’ responses later this year.

“It is patently absurd that Apple is not smart enough to create its own AI, and that it believes that it can somehow be able to ensure that OpenAI protects its security and privacy!” said the Tesla owner.
“Apple has no idea what really happens once they hand over their data to OpenAI,” the businessman added.
If Musk’s threats come true, workers or visitors to companies such as the Tesla automobile company or the SpaceX aeronautical company will not be able to use devices manufactured by the apple giant.
Musk, considered one of the richest men in the world, is also the owner of other large technology companies and social networks such as Starlink satellite company or X, formerly known as Twitter.
