After more than five months of waiting, rain finally arrived in Córdoba this Monday and brought relief after weeks of fighting fires.
The rainfall began in the early morning hours in different places in the province and lasted for much of the day.
Meteorologist Rafael Di Marco informed Chain 3 that the place with the most water was the place Cocha Colonyin the Santa María department, where they fell 80mm.
Other places with the most rainfall were Corralito, with 64 millimeters; San Agustín, with 62; and Freyre, with 62.
Meanwhile, in Córdoba capital were registered between 12 and 30 millimetersdepending on the area. In Villa María, 30 fell; in San Francisco, 21; and, in Río Cuarto, 20.
About 40 millimeters fell on the upper basin of the San Antonio River. The same thing happened in Alta Gracia and Santa Rosa de Calamuchita.
Asked about the forecast for the coming days, Di Marco said: “For this Tuesday, the precipitation will be more oriented towards the west and north of the province and, for Wednesday, towards the west and somewhat towards the center and north.”
National forecast
The week began with bad weather conditions in different areas of the country, so the National Meteorological Service (SMN) issued an alert for strong storms with possible hail and gusts.
The SMN maintains a yellow alert for areas of Corrientes, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, Córdoba and Santiago del Estero.

According to the SMN report, “the area will be affected by storms of varying intensity, some locally strong.”
“It is expected that they will be accompanied by occasional hail, intense electrical activity, abundant falls of water in short periods and intense gusts,” the report says.
Accumulated precipitation values are estimated between 35 and 55 millimeters, which may be exceeded locally.
