Ludhiana: A 30-year-old man, who was attacked by a group of men two weeks ago, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. After this, police added murder sections in the FIR and arrested three accused, while one is at large. The arrested accused have been identified as Manish, Kanhayiya and Mintu, while their aide, Mohammad Sunain Ansari is on the run. The victim is Ajay Kumar of Guru Kripa Colony of Bhattian. The victim’s mother, Neelam Rani told police that on April 13, her son had gone to Basti Mani Singh, where he engaged in a spat with Mohammad Sunain Ansari over monetary issues. Ansari, along with his aides, attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and fled. His injured son was admitted to hospital, where he died on Saturday. Inspector Harpreet Singh, SHO at Daresi police station said that the police on Saturday arrested three of the accused. A hunt is on for the others. tnn
