Hannah Gilbert became the latest Franklin Tech softball player to reach the 100-hit milestone.

The junior entered Wednesday’s game against Pioneer sitting at 99 career hits and cracked a single and a triple to put her over the 100 hit mark for her career, helping the Eagles walk away with a 16-2 Franklin County League East victory in Northfield.

Gilbert is the second player on her team this season to hit the mark, joining Lilly Ross.

“It’s a great accomplishment for Hannah,” Franklin Tech coach Joe Gamache said. “She’s put in the work through the years. She is a great player, a great hitter and a great leader. “It was nice to see her get this milestone.”

Kait Trudeau singled, tripled and drove in two runs, Kylee Gamache tallied a hit and three RBIs while Ross hit safely in the win.

Layla Goulston recorded two hits, Abbie Ray tallied a hit and an RBI while Kelly Baird and Maggie Tsipenyuk hit safely for Pioneer.

Northampton 16, Mahar 7— MacKenzie Matthews, Dakota Cleveland, Avery Savage all had two hits for the Senators in a Franklin County League East loss on Wednesday in Northampton.

Mahar scored two in the first and three in the second but couldn’t continue that output the rest of the way.
