Stacker, a data-driven news organization, compiled data from Redfin, a real estate company, for the month of March in Tennessee. From these numbers, Stacker was able to determine the “counties with the most homes selling under list price in Tennessee.”

For March, the national median sale price for homes was $420,321. In Tennessee, the median sale price was $378,900.

Here are the counties where most homes sold under the asking price in Tennessee.

Where most homes are selling under asking price in Tennessee

Shelby County ranked as the number one spot for houses to sell under list price in Tennessee. In Shelby County, most homes sold at 3.23% below list price. With a median list price of $275,000, the median sale price landed at $257,700. There were 781 homes sold in March, and only 20.7% sold above list price.

The second area with homes selling below list price was Sevier County. In Sevier, homes sold at 3.22% below list price in March. The median list price was $649,900, and the median sale price was $462,750. In March, 168 homes sold and 9.5% sold above list price.

Sullivan County had a median list price of $307,000 and a median sale price of $282,000 in March. Homes sold at 2.55% below list price for the month. There were 189 homes sold and 22.2% of them sold above list price.
