During May Litoral Gas personnel walk the paths inspecting the medium pressure network to locate leaks in Santa Fe and Sao Tome. The procedure can be rescheduled due to weather issues.
This survey allows the detection of leaks under the sidewalk in the facilities owned by Litoral Gas, main pipes and connections to each home. Also those that can be located inside the cabinet on the front of the home – installations owned by the client.
It is recommended that those who are users of the service carry out a periodic review of the facilities through a licensed gas technician. The losses detected in the cabinet could lead, for the safety of people, to the temporary suspension of the supply, which will be restored by Litoral Gas personnel once the situation has been regularized with the intervention of a registered gas technician.
By instruction of section 723 of the Enargas NAG 100 Standard, Litoral Gas must follow its 13 thousand kilometers of networks and gas pipelines once a year with this preventive procedure.
Important: Litoral Gas personnel engaged in the systematic leak search procedure will notify those whose supply is interrupted, but at no time should they enter the homes.
