MEXICALI.- The timely coordination of actions between Municipal Police and Firefighters of Mexicali, saved the life of a man who suffered poisoning due to gas inhalation inside his home, where an explosion was also recorded, for which a police officer entered to remove the victim.

This Wednesday afternoon, the emergency numbers reported a gas leak inside a home in the Zacatecas neighborhood; Municipal elements from the central area were the first responders, who confirmed that the smell was coming from the property, so they requested the support of the fire department, who opened the main gate of the fence.

One of the police officers observed a 40-year-old man inside the house, with whom he spoke to calm him down, at which point an explosion occurred inside the home and the man, after trying to leave the place, fell to the ground, hitting himself. Therefore, the agent immediately activated the corresponding protocol and took the victim to remove him from the place.

Later the man received attention from paramedics from the firefighters, after stabilizing him he was transferred to the Mexicali General Hospital for better medical attention; while agent Paul Ayala Barrera was taken to a city clinic to be evaluated, because he inhaled gas while supporting the citizen.
