Darwin Espinoza: “There are homosexual congressmen who hire their partners as advisors, follow them too”
Congressman Darwin Espinoza (Popular Action), in statements to the press, spoke regarding the investigation against him carried out by the Public Ministry for being the alleged perpetrator of the crime of generic active bribery, related to the contract Stephania Cuya Bezzolo in the office of parliamentarian Kira Alcarraz ( Podemos Peru).
As recalled, Espinoza Vargas is questioned for, supposedly, having exchanged the seat of his bench on the Ethics Commission in favor of Congresswoman Alcarraz Agüero, in exchange for her hiring Cuya Bezzolo, with whom he is romantically linked.
In that sense, the former Popular Action spokesperson publicly apologized to his family yesterday, after the dissemination of a photograph in which he is seen in a moment of leisure with Stephania Cuya. “What I want, through the cameras, is apologize to my family, who have been exposed unnecessarily,” he said, and then added: “Whatever I have been able to do in a day or two days, does not merit great controversy within the political scene.”
On the subject, this Friday, he indicated that his relationship with the aforementioned former official was “something of the moment, nothing more temporary”and denied that there was any “exchange of favors” involved.

However, after denying the accusation for which the Ethics Commission is also investigating him, Espinoza said that “there are homosexual congressmen who hire their partners as advisors”; thus indicating that the situation for which he is being investigated occurs repeatedly in Parliament.
“There are even homosexual congressmen who hire their husbands, their partners as advisors (…) They are homosexuals because they have hired their male partners. You are going to see a male congressman with another man, that’s how they are,” he told the press.
“You are going to say they are not a couple, but they are homosexuals (…), and they are going on a trip. follow them too,” he demanded.
It is worth highlighting that, in addition to Darwin Espinoza, Kira Alcarraz She is also being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for the alleged crime of passive bribery. For both preliminary investigations, the Public Ministry has established a period of 60 days, and Parliament was requested to send the documentation related to the hiring of Stephania Cuya Bezzolo and Myrna Mosso Carmona.
In addition, reports from the week of representation of Espinoza Vargas corresponding to the months of March and April will be requested. It is also contemplated to receive the investigative statements of the parliamentarians as well as Stephania Cuya Bezzolo and Myrna Mosso Carmona.
