Members of the public will have the chance to play the role of jurors at a murder trial re-enactment this summer.
Showtour events is bringing The Murder Trial Live: The Jack Brewer Murders to Newark from Friday, August 2, until Sunday, August 4.
The murder trial, inspired by true stories in British History, will play out at Newark Rugby Club.
The interactive event offers not only a theater show but a chance for people to get involved in something new and immersive and is the Lincoln/Newark date on a UK tour.
The Murder Trial Live invites the audience to review the evidence, listen to the witnesses and reach a verdict.

It recreates a real-life murder trial while providing an in-depth understanding of the British justice system.
The case of the Jack Brewer Murders is about a man who has been charged with the murder of Julia Moores, Robert Harwin and Lee Barnes.
He stands trial for the murder of three people following the discovery of human remains at an allotment in 2023 and he is thought to have consumed his victims’ flesh.
Extensive police work and forensics suggest Brewer could have murdered up to 23 people over a period spanning a decade but their identities are still unknown.
The jury will hear the case and all the evidence and then conclude if he was innocent or guilty.
This year’s live show is based on the real-life events of both Jeffrey Dahmer & Dennis Nilson, US & UK convicted serial killers who seduced and murdered their victims in cold blood.
Both men mutilated their victim’s bodies before disposing of the remains and in some cases partially consuming their flesh.

The Lincoln/Newark event offers evening sessions from 6pm until 11pm and matinee sessions from 12noon until 4pm.
At the Court Room Arena there will be a fully licensed bar and street food vendors.
