Four family members on Thursday perished in a gray road accident that happened near the Tenwek Bridge on the Bomet-Olenguruone Road.

The accident occurred after the car lost control and hit a lorry that was heading in the same direction before it rolled into a river next to the road.

While confirming the incident, Bomet Central Sub-County police boss Musa Omar noted the accident occurred when the two vehicles were traveling to Silibwet.

The police report further noted that three bodies had so far been recovered from the river, the recovered bodies included that of a man and two women.

According to the police boss, the body of a minor was still missing but he confirmed the search was still underway.

The Bomet accident comes barely a month after seven family members perished in a road accident in the Salama area of ​​Makueni County, along the Mombasa-Nairobi Highway.
