A video captured the moment it occurred an explosionin the middle of the fire that occurred in a building on Avenida Brasil, in the commune of Santiago, Metropolitan Region.

What is known about the fire on Avenida Brasil?
Commander Jorge Guevarafrom the Santiago Fire Department, explained that the fire “started on the second floor, in the house. We are looking at the origin and cause of this incident.”
More than 20 fire companies arrived at the scene to work on the emergency and power outages had to be made.
In total, they were affected six commercial premises, of which three are completely consumed. Furthermore, they burned between nine and ten rooms.
The fire has not yet been put out
Guevara explained that the fire “is controlled from the point of view that it’s not going to spreadit is contained, but it continues to burn and we have many collapses inside.
“We are talking about properties that are a hundred years old, there is a lot of adobe, a lot of wood, combined concrete and danger of collapse“he added.
The commander specified that “fortunately we do not have any injured firefighters. We have three civilians injuredtwo for grade one burns and one with a contusion on the shoulder.”
