Pitched battle in Parliament of Taiwan after the theft of documents from a bill. The surreal scene is played by the legislator of the Democratic Progressive Party (PDP), Kuo Kuo-wen, who at one point in the afternoon snatched some documents from the bills to the general secretary of the Legislative Yuan, Chou Wan-lai, and he ran away from the room to obstruct the process.

This caused chaos in the Chamber, where legislators from the ruling party and the opposition exchanged hitting, pushing and insults. Six legislators, five from the Democratic Progressive Party (PDP) and one from the Kuomintang (KMT), left the House to receive hospital care and hundreds of people, mostly young people, spontaneously gathered around the building to protest what happened.
