PICS | Wall collapse at Ballito construction site kills four, injures one

Police in KwaZulu-Natal have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collapse of a wall that fell on five construction workers at a site on Zen Drive in Ballito, Durban, on Saturday.

KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said initial information indicates that 14 construction workers were building a gabion retaining wall at the bottom of an escarpment when the wall collapsed, burying five workers underneath.
