Crews work to extinguish a fire that broke out Sunday morning on Washington Street in New Baltimore. (MYLES CLEVERLEY FOR THE MACOMB DAILY)
Firefighters were called out Sunday morning to respond to a residential fire in New Baltimore and spent several hours at the scene of the blaze.
Authorities said the second-alarm fire was reported at a home on Washington Street.
No injuries were reported to either the occupants or firefighters, first responders said. But there was significant smoke and flame damage caused by the house.
The cause and manner of the fire are still under investigation.
