Two workers have been injured, one of them seriously, after the explosion of a gas cylinder at the Brazatortas train station.

The 112 emergency service of Castilla-La Mancha has informed EFE that the accident occurred around 1:25 p.m. this Tuesday, at the Brazatortas-Veredas train station, when two workers were doing maintenance work on the tracks and A gas cylinder has exploded.

The two workers have been injured, and the most seriously injured, 61 years old, has suffered multiple trauma, burns from the explosion of the cylinder and open wounds, for which he has been treated at the scene by an ICU and the emergency medical team. , although he had to be transferred by medical helicopter to the Ciudad Real Hospital.

The other injured worker, a 40-year-old man, suffered facial trauma from the explosion, was treated at the scene by the ICU and then transferred to the health center on his own.

Agents from the Civil Guard and technical personnel from Adif have also traveled to the scene of the event to control train traffic and the electrical current on the tracks.
