This Sunday afternoon, the commemoration of 145th anniversary of Naval battle of Iquique. To the ceremony, which celebrated in the Plaza Sotomayor in Valparaísoattended President Gabriel Boricalong with other authorities such as the Minister of National Defense, Maya Fernandez and the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Karol Cariola.

Among the figures of the Armed Forces and police, as is tradition, was the commander in chief of the Navy, admiral Juan Andrés De La Maza; his counterpart from the Army, Javier Iturriaga and the general director of the Carabineros, Ricardo Yáñez.

The rite began without interruptions with the honors to the Minister of Defense, however, while the President greeted the troops, received some mistakes and offensive shouts from the public.
