A first hypothesis of the facts constructed from the statements of the factory administrators It would indicate that the emergency was initially generated in the area known as “the mortar” where the raw materials for the production of pyrotechnic devices are concentrated.

According to Álvaro Farfán, captain of the Cundinamarca Fire Department, Apparently, it was a process of accidental combustion of the explosive material that later expanded to two adjoining warehouses where flyers were stored.

At the close of this edition andThe PMU report found that the shock wave generated by the explosion affected 540 housing units that were located in the sectors surrounding the gunpowder factory.

The mayor of Soacha reported that during the night and early morning a characterization of the victims will be carried out of the incident to quantify the damage to the homes and be able to provide the necessary help to the families that were affected.
