A gas leak followed by burst This Thursday a fire occurred in the Buenos Aires district of San Martin and left as balance at least two people injured and material damage to houses in the area.

The firefighters attended the scene and six crews worked to put out the flames but after several hours they were still unable to control them, at the same time that a perimeter to protect neighbors.

In this regard, the head of the Villa Ballester Volunteer Fire Station, Mario Oyarzoexplained that they were waiting for the gas company Naturgy “cut the street supply to be able to extinguish the fire,” and added: “They are looking for the valves where they can make the cuts in the best way.”

Regarding the repairs that the workers were making when they broke the gas pipe, the Villa Ballester delegation of the Buenos Aires municipality had reported that it was “patching works on Prof. Aguer, along 700 meters between Lafayette and Reconquista” within the framework of the “Plan for Patching and Repaving the main streets of the city”.
