Cippa does not carry out controls on the bridge: they claim a lack of gas

A week ago the Provincial Entry Control of Food Products (Cippa) interrupted its services in various positions including Neuquén bridge – Cipolletti. In this way, at the entrances to the provincial capital, Centenario and Barrancas, it is not being verified which food products are entering the transports.

In dialogue with Better informeda Cippa worker commented that they are “no gas 1 week ago“and that “there are delays of up to a month to be able to load the tubes.” The worker director, Mónica Leiva explained that the interruption of controls at the posts is “due to the lack of gas due to the interruption of fuel delivery by of YPF”, in statements to Black river.

Besides of early winter that plagues the Alto Valle, to the control located on the highway bridge is added the proximity to the Neuquén River, making that area a really cold place to carry out work without adequate heating. Leiva pointed out that since the beginning of the month they have been making requests for heating but claimed to have not received any response.

The director added that they asked the provincial government to intervene for the “immediate solution of the problem” and to “continue working on the articulation of the links of the agri-food chain in pursuit of the health of the population of Neuquén.” She also added that they would buy electric heaters that did not arrive either, and that the interruption of service is for the stalls and for mobile phones.

About 80 trucks are the ones who are inspected every morning on the Cipolletti – Neuquén highway bridge, and in many of them up to 30 tons of meat (30 thousand kilos) are transported. The only control that is currently working is the one in Rincón de los Sauces.
