The Legislature demanded that the new liquefied gas plant be built in Bahía Blanca

This week, the president of the Buenos Aires Chamber of Deputies, Alejandro Dichiaravisited several municipalities of the Sixth Electoral Section of the Province, including Bahía Blanca, where he met with Federico Susbielles, the local mayor. Both of them were involved in a claim so that the installation work of the new liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in YPF and Petronas takes place in the town of Ingeniero White.

Dichiara announced that next week they will hold meetings in the Buenos Aires Legislature and all the blocks will sign a joint document so that the mega work can be carried out in the Bahia municipality. He stated that “we came to the determination that all political forces are in total agreement with the investment project being carried out in Bahía Blanca.”

Likewise, he invited Mayor Susbielles to participate in a delegation made up of representatives from the entire Buenos Aires political spectrum next Tuesday the 28th at 2 p.m., where the document will be presented. “All the presidents of the Deputies and Senate block will be there, plus the representative of the Executive, the Minister of Production, Science and Technological Innovation, Augusto Costaand the lieutenant governor, Veronica Magarioto listen to Bahía Blanca’s proposal and from there make a draft joint declaration of endorsement for the investment,” he assured.

For his part, Susbielles thanked him for the invitation and added that he will request an official audience with Javier Milei if the request does not receive a positive response. “If we talk about freedom and a State that eradicates caste, it does not have to have caste behavior. At this moment, the best investment for Argentina is here,” he added.

Dichiara’s tour included visits to Salliqueló, Guaminí, Pellegrini, and Daireaux. Within the framework of a proposal for open dialogue between the Legislature and civil society, he held meetings with neighbors, social and sports organizations, and local representatives.

It should be remembered that the installation of the new LNG plant is being disputed between the provinces of Buenos Aires and Río Negro, whose Government seeks to have the project established in Punta Colorado.
